Air Fryer Potatoes with Cheddar, Onions and Bacon 2

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 6 medium potatoes (or 4 large ones), cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 150g bacon lardons (or diced ham)
  • 100g grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1 teaspoon Spanish spices (smoked paprika, sweet pepper, cumin, etc.)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the ingredients:
Wash and peel the potatoes (you can keep the skin on for extra crispiness). Cut them into small, regular cubes for even cooking.
In a large salad bowl, mix the potato cubes with the olive oil, garlic, spices, salt and pepper. Add the chopped onions and bacon strips, then mix well to coat the ingredients.
  • 2. Cooking in the Air Fryer:
Pour the mixture into the Air Fryer basket. Spread in an even layer for optimal cooking.
Set the Air Fryer to Roast mode at 190°C (375°F) for 20 minutes.
Stir the potatoes every 4 to 5 minutes to prevent them from sticking and to brown them evenly.
  • 3. Adding the cheddar: 5 minutes before the end of cooking, sprinkle the potatoes with the grated cheddar. Close the Air Fryer so that it melts and lightly browns.
  • 4. Serving: Remove the dish from the Air Fryer, serve hot and enjoy immediately.
You can garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or chives for a touch of color and flavor.
    Additional tips:
  • Vegetarian variation: Replace the bacon with pieces of peppers or mushrooms.
For more crispiness: If your potatoes lack crunch, let them cook for 2-3 additional minutes without stirring at the end.
    Enjoy your meal!
