INGREDIENTS: AIR FRYER CHURROS

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • Cooking spray

INSTRUCTIONS: AIR FRYER CHURROS

  • In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides. Remove from heat.
  • Let the dough cool slightly, then stir in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  • Pipe 4-inch strips onto a parchment-lined tray.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
  • Place churros in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Roll warm churros in the mixture to coat.
