Equipment: Air Fryer Onion Potatoes
- Ninja Air Fryer
Ingredients:
- 3 Potatoes
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Wash and scrub the potatoes. Leave the skin on.
- Cut the potatoes into wedges, approximately 1-inch cubes
- Rinse: I always give my potatoes a quick rinse with cold water until the water is clear. This helps to rid of the starch. Alternatively, you can soak the potatoes in cold water for 10 minutes
- Pat them dry and transfer to a large bowl
- Season: Add oil, salt & pepper to taste, sliced onion, minced garlic, and one packet of Lipton Onion soup mix.
- Mix all the ingredients to combine. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Preheat: While the potatoes are absorbing all the flavors, preheat your air fryer to 390°F (198°C) on air-fry/air crisp setting.
- Add to basket: Place the potatoes directly in the basket (or tray) of the air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes depending on size.
- Flip: Be sure to set the timer and flip (shake) them every 5 minutes.
- Check: After 12 minutes, check for doneness and crispiness and determine whether you need to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. I cook potatoes in the air fryer a lot and 12 minutes is optimal timing at 390F.
Serving French Onion Potatoes
For breakfast, pair your morning roasted onion potatoes with Air Fryer Poached Eggs and bacon for a hearty start to your day.
For dinner, try them with Air fryer steak the crunchy texture and earthy flavor of the potatoes complement heavier meats perfectly.
Lipton French Onion roasted potatoes are especially delicious when paired with other roasted vegetables, such as air-fried carrots, peppers, and red onions.
Store & Reheat
Transfer any leftovers into a clean airtight container. Make sure the potatoes are cooled down before storing them as warm potatoes may create condensation inside the container which could result in soggy potatoes later on. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2 minutes per side to bring the outer crisp back.
Notes
You can peel the potato skins off, if you prefer.
