Ingredients:
Air Fryer Chicken Tenders with Cheddar Cheese
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- ½ cup flour
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup panko bread crumbs
- ½ cup Italian style bread crumbs
- ½ cup finely grated Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- Olive oil spray
- Cabot Ranch Dip or Blue Cheese dressing for serving
Directions:
Air Fryer Chicken Tenders with Cheddar Cheese
- PREHEAT the air fryer to 400°F.
- PREPARE three shallow dredging plates: Add the flour to one, whisk the eggs in the second one and mix the panko, breadcrumbs, cheese, and pepper in the third.
- COAT each tender in flour, then egg, and finally the cheese-breadcrumb mixture.
- SPRAY both sides of the chicken generously with oil.
- COOK the chicken for 10 minutes (working In batches if necessary) flipping halfway through, until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F) and chicken is crispy and golden.
- SERVE with your favorite dipping sauce, if desired.
Recipe Note:
Air Fryer Chicken Tenders with Cheddar Cheese
- Use Cabot Ranch Dip or homemade Blue Cheese Dip for dipping these hot, crunchy tenders.
- For this recipe it’s best to use finely grated cheddar rather than larger shreds.
